Bihar Foundation is the diaspora cell of the Government of Bihar. It was set up by resolution no. 4433 dated 24 November 2006 of the Department of Industries, Government of Bihar. Following suggestions from eminent participants in the “Global Meet for a Resurgent Bihar” (19–21 January 2007), Bihar Foundation was reshaped as a non-profit society and registered on 27 July 2007.
